is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Comenius University Bratislava. He gained his professional experience of criminal law during his professional placements at the district prosecutor's office in Bratislava, from representing an injured credit institution or victims of crime in criminal proceedings and from his work in the office of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. He is currently a full time doctoral candidate at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminology and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law, Comenius University Bratislava, and works in the criminology unit of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. His work covers above all the substantive aspects of criminal law, questions of sanctioning, criminal policy and criminology. He publishes regularly, speaks at conferences at home and abroad, and works on research grants.
