is a graduate of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Since graduating he has worked in the judiciary without a break, from senior court official through judicial candidate to his current post as a judge. During his time in the judiciary he has taken an active part in a number of educational events abroad, exchanges and short or long placements. From 2015 to 2025 he also taught at the University of Prešov. He is the author of a university textbook and a co-author of several publications and conference proceedings. His research is devoted primarily to alternative sanctions and to probation and criminal mediation. He also lectures externally for the Ministry of Justice and the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic.
